Advanced Evidence Synthesis for Nursing
Systematic and scoping reviews are at the top of the evidence hierarchy. They require a transparent, reproducible, and exhaustive search of literature followed by rigorous quality appraisal and synthesis.
Our Systematic Review Process
Protocol Development (PROSPERO)
Establishing include/exclude criteria, search strings, and synthesis methods before the search begins to ensure transparency and reduce bias.
Comprehensive Database Searching
Executing complex searches across CINAHL, MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, and grey literature sources (e.g., OpenGrey) using rigorous Boolean logic.
Quality Appraisal & Risk of Bias
Using validated tools like CASP, JBI, or Cochrane Risk of Bias to evaluate the methodological quality of included studies.
Data Extraction & Meta-Synthesis
Systematic extraction of findings and synthesis using thematic analysis (qualitative) or meta-analysis (quantitative) where appropriate.
Scholarly Standards
All reviews are conducted in alignment with PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) or JBI standards for scoping reviews.
